Happy Cat Games

When I was a kid, I was completed obsessed with Neopets. I spent countless hours (even pulled all-nighters) exploring virtual worlds and dreaming about creating one of my own someday. I would play the game and wish it had this or that so I went out on my own and started to learn how to code.

That dream led me into web development, where I've spent over 15 years building websites professionally. Web development will always be a passion of mine, but the corporate grind definitely hindered my creativity and game development was always the ultimate goal since I was 12 years old. Immersive games felt like magic to me and I didn't even know about game engines when I set out into this journey.

Around 2015, I learned about game engines. It didn't take me until 2023 to really jump into the game development world.

I jumped into Unity, even experimented with VR games, and spent the last few years happily tinkering, learning, and chasing ideas. More recently, I've fallen in love with Godot and the incredible indie community surrounding it. After moving to part-time earlier this year, I'm finally dedicating my time to the thing I've wanted to do all along: creating playful worlds, memorable characters, and games filled with love and chaos.

This year, I entered my first game jam and placed in the Top 100 with Lumi's Dreamscape, a cozy storybook-inspired platformer. I was only the beginning, and I can't wait to share the worlds still waiting in my sketchbooks, notebooks, and imagination.
